INCTR is creating this new site to provide more services to its members. Each member will be given access to it and it is hoped that it will provide yet another approach to forming networks of health professionals (or members of the public) to discuss the problem of cancer in low and middle income countries. All lists of members and information on members is available only to members who have joined this site. Some members, with a particular interest in cancer in less developed countries may decide that they would like to form an INCTR Branch (i.e., a legally separate NGO that choses to work within the INCTR consortium of NGOs). Some members may wish to undertake more teaching, either within their own country or to provide INCTR with high quality educational materials that can be openly accessed. We hope too that from time to time, members will write brief reports that can be included in the INCTR NewsFlash.

Thus, the INCTR membership program is not simply about the provision of benefits to members but also about members contributions to cancer control.

Members are also encouraged to use the Forum to make comments, suggest projects or provide information on cancer control in their own country or region, for it is only with the whole of society attentive to the dramatic increase in cancer that continues to take place globally (although much due to population growth resulting from increased longevity) is it likely that the cancer burden will be decreased.
